We report on a patient who, at 31 years of age, was found to suffer from sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy (SHML; Rosai-Dorfman disease) with nodal and extranodal involvement as described previously. We report two cases of meningitis caused by Listeria monocytogenes in children. The first patient was a healthy 14-month-old boy and the second patient a 3-year-old girl with Byler disease which, however, is not reported as a predisposing factor for listeriosis. We present these cases because Listeria infection, although common in neonates, is extremely infrequent during infancy and childhood.

We report two cases of non Hodgkin malignant lymphoma of the testis observed in two patients 36 and 32 years old. Diagnosis was made on pathological examination after orchiectomy. One patient had an involvement of the lung and Waldeyer's ring and the other presented cerebral involvement. Despite combination chemotherapy and external beam radiation therapy, the disease progression was rapid and fatal in the first patient (19 months) while the second had multiple cerebral relapses and died by disease progression 21 months after orchiectomy.

We report a case of granulocytic sarcoma arising from the thymus in a 17-year-old nonleukaemic patient. The patient presented with an anterior mediastinal tumour and underwent surgical resection. A case where a breast tumor was the initial manifestation of Wegener's granulomatosis is presented. Breast biopsy revealed granulomatous mastitis, and treatment with tuberculostatic drugs was started. Following an initial improvement the patient finally died. Postmortem, the diagnosis of generalised Wegener's granulomatosis was made. Although Wegener's granulomatosis is a very rare cause of granulomatous mastitis, it should be considered in the differential diagnosis. A brief outline of the literature is given.

We present a patient with obstructive unresectable carcinoma of the gastric antrum. An expandable stent was placed endoscopically along the tumor to paliate obstruction. Such a procedure allowed unrestricted oral feeding of the patient up to death six months later.

PURPOSE: The treatment and outcome of a patient with sickle cell trait and metastatic renal medullary carcinoma is described.
PATIENT AND METHODS: A 12-year-old boy with sickle cell trait had metastatic renal medullary carcinoma. After surgical resection of the primary tumor, he received chemotherapy with methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, and cisplatin. The carcinoma progressed after a 6-month period of stable disease. At that time, he received chemotherapy including ifosfamide, etoposide, carboplatin, and topotecan.

We describe the case of a 56-year-old man who presented with numbness and tingling of the extremities, weakness, and fatigue. Laboratory findings included anemia and thrombocytopenia. A diagnosis of intravascular lymphomatosis was established when liver, omentum, and bone marrow samples were examined.
