In advanced stages, thymic tumors tend to spread locally. Distant metastatic disease is rare. We present the first report of single metastatic abdominal lymph node in a 37-year-old female patient and 5 years after an extrapleural pneumonectomy for stage IV thymoma followed by radiotherapy with no other evidence of abdominal disease successfully treated by robotic surgical resection.

This cross sectional study was conducted in Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital, Mitford and Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh from January 2009 to December 2009 by purposive sampling method. Among the 50 cases, involvement of supraglottic (72%) region is significantly higher than glottic (28%) region. Affected peoples are mainly male and mean age was 58.1±10.4 years. Two guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus) were presented with a clinical history of a chronic, unresponsive skin disorder with scaling, itching and alopecia. Over the past 40 years, the incidence of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) has been increasing. Distal small bowel (i.e., midgut) NETs most often cause carcinoid syndrome manifested as cutaneous flushing, diarrhea, bronchial constriction, and cardiac involvement. Carcinoid abdominal crisis occurs when submucosal tumors impede the vascular supply to the gut leading to mesenteric ischemia and worsening abdominal pain. OBJECTIVE: We evaluated the role of omental bursa (OB), surface of the pancreas, lesser omentum, caudate lobe, celiac nodes (CNs), portal nodes and triad nodes spread in advanced ovarian cancer (AOC). We investigated if the exploration and cleaning up of these areas can lead to a more complete cytoreduction and to a more realistic assessment of residual tumor in AOC.
METHODS: We prospectively recruited patients diagnosed with AOC, who underwent a complete cytoreduction. Demographics, surgical procedures, morbidities, pathologic findings and correlations with OB spread were assessed.
