P-Recovery from actual sewage by P-RoC-technology (Phosphorus Recovery by Crystallisation of phosphate mineral phases from waste- and processwater) was studied in a pilot scale. Therewith the practicability of the pilot plant was tested and the quality of the so generated products was investigated.

BACKGROUND: The aim of this pilot study is to evaluate office-based sclerotherapy using sodium tetradecyl sulfate (STS) for epistaxis due to hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasias (HHT). Patients with HHT suffer from unpredictable, recurrent, severe nasal bleeding necessitating emergency care, nasal packing, blood transfusions, and invasive procedures.
METHODS: In this retrospective study 7 patients with a history of treatment for recurrent epistaxis due to HHT were treated in an office-based setting with intralesional injection of STS. Treatment results were evaluated using a questionnaire.

AIMS: To determine the feasibility and efficacy of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for huge hepatocellular carcinoma unsuitable for other therapies.
METHODS: Six patients with very large hepatocellular carcinomas (>10 cm) unsuitable for surgical resection or that failed to respond to transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) were treated by SBRT.
