Serious complications of local venous hypertension occur rarely in the upper extremity. These are most frequently the result of a dysfunctional arteriovenous fistula and may produce changes indistinguishable from those of chronic lower-extremity venous insufficiency. A combination of arterial and venous contrast imaging is essential for identifying major venous outflow obstruction and for planning appropriate surgical therapy.

The hyperaemic response in the vasculature of the forearm skin following induced ischaemia was studied with a transcutaneous oxygen (tcpO2) electrode. Electrode temperatures of 35-37 degree C allowed optimal recordings of the postischaemic reaction. During arterial occlusion there was a fall in tcpO2 to zero in 1-3 min. Re-establishment of circulation resulted in a biphasic reaction, with a steep rise overshooting the baseline recording by 1-3 kPa and a slower return to baseline level. The Krukenberg procedure has been performed unilaterally on juvenile amputee patients with congenital bilateral absence of the hands and observed by long-term follow-up examinations. A-diol and testosterone (T) were determined by radioimmunoassay methods in spermatic and peripheral venous plasma of nine normal subjects during surgical intervention for inguinal hernia repair. Skin manifestations may arise as adverse events following the use of novel drugs. We report a case of a patient with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis who developed a rheumatoid neutrophilic dermatosis (RND) under treatment with the interleukin-6-receptor-antagonist sarilumab. The skin lesions developed 2-3 days after the first injection. RND presents with asymptomatic, symmetrical fixed urticarial-like papules, plaques, and nodules, localized typically on the extensor surfaces of the forearms and hands. After discontinuing the medication, the nodules in our patient disappeared within a month.

We report an extremely rare case of multifocal bone disorder in a 3.5-year-old boy who appeared for left forearm and arm pain and multiple periods of fever with an unusual presentation of lymphoma/leukemia and highlight diagnostic challenges leading to a misdiagnosis, which was then diagnosed and treated for chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO).
