Foreign body ingestion is a common occurrence in the pediatric population. We present the case of a 1-year-old infant boy who presented with abdominal distention and shock. At laparotomy, he was found to have an ileal perforation caused by a wire from an aluminum scouring pad that his parents were not aware he had ingested. We have presented a case of partial rupture of the uterus along the left margin with both lamina of the broad uterine ligament torn off and tear of the left ovarian proper ligament in a 32-year-old patient in 36 weeks gestation. The patient, with no history of either surgery on the uterine muscles or incidents of abdominal trauma, presented with no contractions. She was qualified for an emergency laparotomy, underwent Caesarean section and the rupture of the uterine muscle was sutured. 14 days after surgery the mother and her baby were discharged from hospital in overall good condition.

SUMMARY: The case presented is that of a 39-year-old female who presented with lower abdominal pain and a multinodular pelvic mass which led to an initial diagnosis of multiple uterine fibroids and pelvic inflammatory disease. The presence of a colonic mass was first suggested by ultrasound. Laparotomy revealed carcinoma of the colon with bilateral krukenberg's tumour and an insignificant fibroleiomyoma.

Hypoperfusion complex is an uncommon entity found on computed tomography (CT) of blunt trauma. It is more common in children compared to adults. Everyone should be aware of this entity to interact with clinicians to aid in triage and management of patients in view of poor prognosis. Adenomyoma of the small intestine is an extremely rare condition characterized by abnormal glandular structures surrounded by smooth muscle. We report a case of adenomyoma of the jejunum. The patient was a 61-year-old female with cancer of the sigmoid colon and multiple liver cysts, who was sent to the operation room for exploratory laparotomy and sigmoidectomy. A 49-year-old female presented in a casualty department with acute abdomen. The CT scan revealed an extensive build-up of peritoneal and retroperitoneal fluid.
