INTRODUCTION: Lymph node treatment in patients with penile cancer has been longly debated in the last 15 years, with surgeons advocating therapeutic lymphadenectomy and others advocating selective lymphadenectomy (SLND).
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We evaluated the outcome of clinically node negative penile cancer patients treated with SLND. Since March 2000, 35 node negative penile cancer patients were operated on mainly at the Division of Plastic Surgery, San Gallicano Institute, Rome (Italy), with SLND.

The coexistence of metastatic breast cancer and tuberculosis in axillary lymph nodes is very rare. We present the case of a 57-year-old woman with multifocal invasive ductal breast carcinoma in whom the resected axillary nodes were found to harbor both metastatic cancer and tuberculous lymphadenitis. BACKGROUND: This study was designed to compare the prognostic power of the location of positive lymph nodes with that of the number of positive lymph nodes in gallbladder carcinoma.
METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted of 116 consecutive patients who underwent an R0 radical resection for gallbladder carcinoma. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the clinicopathological characteristics of rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) so as to improve their understanding and diagnosis.
METHODS: The data of 62 rectal NETs patients were retrospectively analyzed to summarize their clinical characteristics. They were categorized into 3 types based on the level of histological differentiation. And the relationship of tumor size, histological type and metastases was examined.

To date, no child has been reported to develop de novo CCA after liver transplantation although patients with transplants have a significantly higher risk of malignancy than the general population. CCA is extremely rare in the pediatric age group, seen mostly in patients with a history of choledochal cysts, Caroli's disease, or PSC. We report the first case of pediatric de novo CCA in the liver allograft 12 yr after liver transplantation.

Hypoglossal neuropathy with associated myokymia as a delayed effect of radiation is a rare occurrence, presumably due to the relative resistance of cranial nerves to injury from irradiation. The authors describe the first case of myokymia of the unilateral tongue with myokymic discharges on needle electromyography after hypofractionated radiation therapy for an extracranial melanoma of the neck. The earlier onset of myokymia than previous cases may represent more direct radiation exposure due to radiation site or the higher radiation dosage administered for treatment of melanomas.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of life (QOL) from the performance status (PS) and face scale (FS), and to compare adverse events (AEs) during chemotherapy in 28 patients with node-positive colorectal cancer (NP-CRC) and 15 patients with node-positive gastric cancer (NP-GC).
