OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of tacrolimus in patients with generalized myasthenia gravis (MG).
METHODS: A total of 69 cases admitted to our hospital were given 2-6 mg/day tacrolimus (FK506) for 12 months. BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: The association between use of azathioprine and risk of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) in patients with myasthenia was evaluated in a nationwide setting. Treatment of autoimmune myasthenia frequently involves long-term exposure to immunosuppressants, including azathioprine.
