Multidrug-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae strains were isolated from blood and sputum of a patient with disseminated intravascular coagulation in Sapporo city, Japan. These antibiograms were only susceptible to vancomycin, linezolid, daptomycin, some carbapenems, and some fluoroquinolones.
