PURPOSE OF THE STUDY: We present an anterograde nailing system for humeral shaft fractures: the long Telegraph(R) nail. This nail enables static or dynamic anteroposterior distal locking and is easy to insert with the special aiming device.

14 unstable comminuted intraarticular fractures of the distal radius were treated by the use of the A/O mini-external fixator. The distal pins were inserted in the distal fragment, thus leaving the wrist joint free to mobilize. Clinical results were assessed at 3 to 12 months using the Sarmiento demerit point system. BACKGROUND: Knowledge is limited about the diagnosis and treatment of modified Gartland type-IV supracondylar humeral fractures. We determined the prevalence of type-IV fractures, identified preoperative characteristics associated with these injuries, and assessed operative treatment characteristics.

The long term fate of the fibula in an intra-osseous site is still a matter of debate. Since the procedure of free fibular grafting for neglected femoral neck fractures was routinely done at our institute, we were able to observe the serial changes in 37 cases with an average 8.9 years follow-up. INTRODUCTION: Knee arthrodesis may be the last possible option for infected total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients and in revision cases involving severe bone loss and/or extensor mechanism damages. Success in these situations depends on achieving good fixation assembly stability. We report bone fusion results using a fixation technique combining cross-pinning by two Steinman pins with a single-frame external fixator.
