Polydopamine functionalized magnetic nanoparticles (PDA@Fe3O4) were prepared and characterized by transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, zeta potential and vibrating sample magnetometry. In this work, we have examined the amide-I characteristics of three β-peptide oligomers in typical helical conformations (two in 14-helix and one in 12/10-helix), solvated in water, methanol, and chloroform, respectively. The CN radical has been implicated as an important contributor to the plasma deposition of amorphous carbon nitride. Here, laser-induced fluorescence and optical emission spectroscopy were used to explore in greater detail the gas phase energetics of CN in CH(3)CN, BrCN, and CH(4)/N(2) plasmas.
