6-Aminodopamine (6-ADA) is a dopamine analog causing degeneration of peripheral adrenergic fibers. Given to the lateral cerebral ventricle in mice 6-ADA did not change the locomotor activity of animals. In doses 10-200 micrograms ivc 6-ADA depressed the noradrenaline level only in the cerebral cortex, while the level of dopamine was depressed also in the subcortical nuclei.

Ten aripirazole (CAS 129722-12-9) derivatives were prepared and examined for dopamine receptor antagonist activity. The structures of these newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by their elemental analyses and by IR, 1H-NMR and mass spectra.
