The present investigation was undertaken to suggest the involvement of free radicals in the pathogenesis of pyloric ligation induced ulcers in rats. Newborn screening for congenital hypothyroidism (CH) has become routine in Italy. It provided new information regarding the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of CH infants and allowed to identify transient disorders of thyroid function in infancy. We have developed a dorsal intracranial surgery that is minimally invasive and gives excellent access to either afferent or efferent vagal rootlets to produce selective deafferentations or deefferentations in the rat. Cyclic variations of Fc gamma receptors (FcR) in human endometrium were studied in specimens from the fundal part, the lower part of the uterine cavity and from the endocervix obtained in the proliferative, ovulatory and early and late secretory phase.
