PURPOSE: The aim is to provide an updated and revised overview of psychological and psychiatric aspects of fecal incontinence (FI), functional constipation (FC), non-retentive FI (NRFI) and bladder and bowel dysfunction (BBD). Clinical behavioral disorders and subclinical psychological symptoms are reviewed. Aspects of screening, assessment, counseling, and in severe cases, treatment are outlined and recommendations are formulated.

The male transobturator sling (TOS) is a minimally invasive treatment for PPUI. BACKGROUND: Uroflowmetry and pressure-flow study are procedures used for the evaluation of micturition.
METHODS: Uroflowmetry is mainly a screening test to pick up abnormal voiding patterns and an abnormal trace warrants further investigation. A certain test-retest variation exists in terms of flow-rates and pattern.

Single-incision slings are the newest midurethral slings developed for the surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence. We report the case of a patient who underwent single-incision sling placement who presented with recurrent stress incontinence 3 years after the procedure. She was found to have a 1.7-cm bladder stone that formed around the single-incision sling polypropylene barb.

The diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence remain controversial. For the diagnosis different methods are used which yield divergent results. Only correlation of different methods and results give a satisfactory diagnosis. Stress incontinence needs individualized operations. Several operative methods are available. Unstable bladders need to be recognized prior to operation and treated conservatively. Many times a combined operative and conservative management is necessary.

This is the first study to report on the use of microneedling to deliver RF energy to the vaginal canal.
