BACKGROUND: There is no gold standard for a walking orthosis after first metatarsophalangeal joint (MTPJ) arthrodesis surgery. Evaluation of plantar pressure measures and patient perceptions for different orthoses may assist surgeons to choose a postsurgery orthotic.
