Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) was originally developed by Linehan (1993a, b) and modified by Miller et al. (1997) for suicidal adolescents with borderline personality features. Meanwhile, this therapy has also successfully applied in other adult clinical groups. The prior aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of DBT for inpatient adolescents with anorexia and bulimia nervosa. Results from several studies suggest that the process of language acquisition may be altered in patients suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. In this study, a group of 8 male participants with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (M age = 16 yr., SD = 4.7) underwent an extensive neuropsychological and language assessment.
