The literature describes numerous successful applications using dermal regeneration templates such as IntegraⓇ. Despite widespread use for burns, trauma, and chronic wounds among others, Integra has associated complications which need continued investigation. Bilateral cryptorchidism is a rare occurrence and seminoma is the most common germ cell tumor found in undescended testes when they occur. We present the case of a patient with bilateral cryptorchidism who presented to our trauma center after a motor vehicle collision and was found incidentally to have a 17-cm intra-abdominal mass. We studied an enucleated postmortem eye from an 82-year-old white donor who had been implanted with a Pannu "universal" intraocular lens (IOL) in the anterior chamber approximately 20 years earlier. BACKGROUND: Orbital fractures are frequently accompanied by ocular injury. Any findings that provide information for diagnosing a concurrent ocular injury should improve patient care. A greater incidence of severe ocular injury with certain fracture types was hypothesized, based on orbital wall thickness.
METHODS: A retrospective review of 87 consecutive patients (107 fractured orbits) was performed by the Ophthalmology Department of an urban Level 1 trauma center.

Facial paralysis (FP) in children is most often idiopathic, however, many diverse and identifiable etiologies exist. Twenty-five cases of children admitted consecutively to the Children's National Medical Center over 8.5 years for the evaluation of FP were reviewed retrospectively. In 21 (84%) of the patients the FP was discovered to be secondary to a specific etiology or associated with a recognizable syndrome. Neonatal mortality and morbidity were analyzed in 362 pairs of twins delivered at Yale-New Haven Medical Center during a five-year period. Of the 154 (42.5%) pairs in vertex-vertex presentations, 125 (81.2%) were delivered vaginally. No difference in the occurrence of low five-minute Apgar scores was found in relation to the length of time interval between delivery of the twins. A review of splenic injuries at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from July 1978 to June 1980 revealed this form of injury in 29 patients. Treatment without surgery was successful in 21 patients. Seven patients required operation. One patient died shortly after admission of severe associated injuries.
