Chitin synthesis inhibitors (CSIs) are commonly used insecticides compromising cuticle formation and structure in arthropods. Arthropods rely on intact cuticles to maintain water balance and cellular homeostasis to survive in different weather conditions. We hypothesized that physiological impacts of CSIs may make arthropods more vulnerable to harsh environmental conditions, such as extreme heat, cold or drought. The aim of this study was to investigate if pre-exposure to teflubenzuron (a common CSI) would influence Folsomia candida's (Collembola: Isotomidae) sensitivity to natural stressors.

Smallpox was the most rampant infectious disease killer of the 20th century, yet much remains unknown about the pathogenesis of the variola virus. Lufenuron is a benzoylurea insecticide currently in use to combat sea lice infestation in salmon aquaculture in Chile. With pending approval in Norway, the aim of this work was to study the uptake and toxicity of lufenuron in liver tissue of Atlantic salmon. Roflumilast is a highly selective phosphodiesterase-4 inhibitor for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. Topical roflumilast 0.3% cream, approved by the US FDA and Health Canada for use in adolescents and adults, has proven efficacy and tolerability. It is non-steroidal, administered once-daily, and highly potent, with a unique delivery formulation. It can be used on most body areas, including the sensitive intertriginous regions and face. PURPOSE: In four large controlled trials with lasmiditan and ubrogepant placebo was administered in the first step to demonstrate an effect on migraine attack.
