BACKGROUND: Uterine sarcomas are mesenchymal tumors; they are rare, representing less than 2-3% of all uterine malignancies. Among them, we can define four types: leiomyosarcoma (LMS), endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS), Adenosarcoma and Carcinosarcoma. Malignant mixed Müllerian tumor (MMMT) is a rare neoplasm of the female genital tract. We report a case of bilateral ovarian MMMT in a 10-year-old female dog. Congenital germ cell tumors are uncommon. The most common site of origin is in the saccrococygeal region. Teratomas arising from the head and neck comprise a small proportion of this entity, and of these, nasopharyngeal lesions are rare. Also known by various synonyms such as hamartoma and hairy polyp, the teratoma is a well-recognized, and generally benign, clinical and histopathological entity. In the present series of 156 patients with sarcomas of the uterus the therapeutic modalities employed were evaluated. A female patient was treated for acute myocardial infarction of atypical course. In the clinical picture attacks of ventricular tachycardia controlled with pharmacological agents prevailed. The patient died with signs of left-ventricular failure. Autopsy demonstrated metastases of renal carcinoma to the myocardium which simulated infarction in electrocardiographic tracings.
