Pyogenic granuloma is a benign, non-neoplastic, mucocutaneous lesion and is especially common on the tongue, lips, and gums. This case report presents a large oral pyogenic granuloma of the gingiva and the surgical treatment of this lesion with Nd:YAG laser. A 14-year-old female patient referred with a complaint of a swelling and growth on the buccal side of her mandibular left premolar teeth. A comprehensive intraoral examination revealed a localized gingival mass between mandibular left premolar teeth on the buccal aspect. The treatment selected was surgical removal using Nd:YAG laser with t

Pyogenic granuloma (PyG) is a common cause of swelling in the oral cavity during pregnancy and also as an exaggerated response to any minor trauma. The condition is frequently associated with periodontal pain and discomfort, in some cases interfering with mastication and creating esthetic problems. Six patients reported to the Department of Periodontics with gingival overgrowth in the lower anteriors. After recording the details of the patients' oral hygiene status, all the patients were provided initial therapy with scaling and were prescribed analgesics for the reduction of pain and discomfo

An elderly female patient was referred to the author for the treatment of a large recurrent pyogenic granuloma in the sole of right foot for a period of 2 years. She underwent excisional surgeries at an outside facility twice in the past. This time, she was treated with wide excision biopsy and the surgical defect was closed with a new technique, the "adjustable suture technique". Histopathology report confirmed "desmoplastic melanoma" with complete marginal clearance. The wound had healed uneventfully. There were no recurrences at 4-year follow-up.

In paper a case of pyogenic granuloma of the tongue in an 8-week-old child was presented. The signs and symptoms, etiological agents, surgical treatment, and complications are discussed. This case is the youngest case with an unusual location. The lesion was presented as sessile, soft, single and pink erythematous nodule with tendency to spontaneous hemorrhage, 3 cm in diameter. We performed conservative excision because of anaemia and not good condition of the child. We didn't observe recurrence of this lesion in follow-up after 2 weeks, 6 months and 3 years. We report this case to alert the

Pyogenic granuloma has a diagnostic, lobular arrangement of capillaries that clearly distinguishes it, histologically, from granulation tissue. Recently, the accurate term, "lobular capillary hemangioma" (LCH), has been introduced to emphasize this characteristic appearance. A review of 639 vascular lesions of the oral cavity, upper respiratory tract, larynx, and trachea yielded 73 LCHs. All were located in nasal or oral mucous membranes. Conversely, every one of 62 vascular lesions from the trachea or larynx consisted of granulation tissue, without evidence of LCHs. There were clinical as wel

Pyogenic granulomas (PGs) are benign vascular tumors that present as rapidly growing, friable papules that often bleed and cause cosmetic disfigurement. PGs generally respond well to treatments such as excision, laser, cryotherapy, topical imiquimod, and topical timolol, but agminated PGs can be distressing to patients and challenging to treat. Topical sirolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, is used in the treatment of other vascular anomalies but has not been previously investigated for use in PGs. We report two patients with agminated PGs who demonstrated improvement in size, color, and bleeding follo

Introduction: Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a benign vascular lesion prone to significant bleeding when manipulated. High-power lasers provide key advantages, including precise incision, vaporization, and hemostasis, when managing such lesions, enhancing both intraoperative efficiency and postoperative recovery. Methods: This report describes the diagnosis and surgical excision of a large PG on the lower lip of an anemic patient using a high-power diode laser. Results: A 30-year-old female patient presented with a nodular, erythematous, pedunculated lesion with firm consistency and an ulcerated s

A lobular capillary hemangioma, previously known as a pyogenic granuloma, is a benign vascular lesion of the skin or mucous membrane. We report a case of capillary hemangioma of lobular subtype in the calvarium of a 28-year-old pregnant woman which presented as a sore and rapidly growing bulge over the left fronto-parietal region. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain and skull showed an expansive tumor with brain displacement, skull erosion, and scalp infiltration. The tumor was surgically removed, and histopathological examination showed a capillary hemangioma of lobular subtype. To the be

Pyogenic granuloma is a benign acquired vascular tumor that affects the skin and mucous membranes, occurring more often in children and young adults. Treatment is often required due to the associated risk of ulceration and bleeding. There are several publications reporting the use of beta-blockers for the treatment of pyogenic granuloma. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety profile of topical propranolol 4% gel for the treatment of pyogenic granuloma. A retrospective study of all cases of pyogenic granuloma treated with topical propranolol 4% gel b

Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a common benign vascular proliferation which often occurs on the head, neck, hands, and feet. Among the various treatment options for PG, surgical excision is the most effective treatment which offers the lowest overall recurrence rates and also provides the exact diagnosis. However, it could have difficulties to do the surgery when lesions are located on the fingers and toes, especially very near to the nails, so laser may be a very good alternative choice. In this article, we evaluated the clinical efficacy and safety of neodymium-yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) l

Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE) is a rare chronic inflammatory disorder of unknown etiology that most commonly presents as painless lymphadenopathy or subcutaneous masses in the head and neck region. The pathogenesis of the disease is not yet clear. The differential diagnosis is determined using characteristic histological features, such as significant vascular proliferation, lymphocytes and eosinophil inflammation in the dermis. Here is presented the case of a patient with a solitary nodule of ALHE masquerading as pyogenic granuloma (PG). A 47 year-old male patient was admi

Introduction. Although pyogenic granulomas (PG) are common and benign vascular proliferations of the skin and mucous membranes, they are relatively rare on the vulva. Case Presentation. A 57-year-old G7P7 postmenopausal woman presented with a 3-year history of a foul smell and bleeding lesions in the genital region. A gynecologic examination revealed multiple large papillomatous, pedunculated, and lobulated lesions that were cherry-red and infective in appearance. There was a 2-cm lesion at the upper intersection of the labia majora, a 2-cm lesion on the right labium majus, and a 4-cm lesion o

We present a case of a large pyogenic granuloma of the tongue causing swallowing difficulties in an 8-week-old infant. In the literature, we found no case reports of pyogenic granuloma in such a young infant. It is a quickly growing, hypertrophic inflammatory change consisting of exceptionally richly vascularized granular tissue. The granuloma was located in the central part of the tongue and appeared dark pink in color. It was an easily bleeding pedunculated tumor measuring 3 x 2.5 cm. The etiology of the tumor is unknown; it can arise in sites of previous injury, chronic irritation and infec

Breast cancer (BC) has become the most commonly diagnosed malignant tumor among women worldwide, with approximately 70% of patients with advanced BC developing bone metastases. These metastases trigger bone destruction and skeletal-related events (SREs) and significantly reduce patient survival. In recent years, research into the mechanisms underlying BC bone metastasis has advanced rapidly. Molecular biological and genomic studies have revealed that BC bone metastasis is co-regulated by multiple signaling pathways through crosstalk between BC cells and the bone microenvironment. This review a
