Readjustable suburethral sling procedures have become established as a standard method for therapy of postoperative urinary stress incontinence in men. Due to the silicone construction revision after implantation of Argus ™ slings can be carried out without problems even after a long indwell time. In the case presented correction of sling-related hydronephrosis due to incorrect positioning of the Argus ™ sling is demonstrated. Surgical correction was possible without explantation or exchanging the system and ensuring a good functional outcome.

PURPOSE: Children with unilateral hydronephrosis, who had been prospectively examined with diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) and dimercapto-succinic acid (DMSA) renography, were evaluated to determine whether supranormal renographic differential renal function exists.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 54 children with congenital single system hydronephrosis underwent abdominal ultrasound, voiding cystourethrogram, and DTPA and DMSA renal scans. The manifestations of polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) are varied, but urological abnormalities other than ureteric stenosis and orchitis have not been described. We report a case of hepatitis B-associated PAN with bilateral hydronephrosis without obstruction. Retrograde urography conclusively demonstrated the absence of obstruction. Surgical interventions for the reconstruction of the renal pelvis were performed in 108 cases between 1962 and 1974. On follow-up, 3 to 6 months after operation the results were found good or satisfactory in 54 cases (50%). Isotope nephrography revealed a good or satisfactory fall of the curve in the excretion phase in 49 out of the 54 cases (94%), distinct retention curves having been found in the remaining 6%. OBJECTIVE: Actinomycosis with an extended pelvic abscess is an uncommon condition, which usually occurs coincident with the presence of an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) in the uterine cavity. The clinical picture of pelvic actinomycosis may vary between individuals, is often accompanied by complications, and is frequently misdiagnosed.
