[Magneto-laser therapy of chronic gastritis in children and adolescents].

The efficiency of transcutaneous magneto-laser treatment as a component of combined therapy of chronic gastritis in children and adolescents (aged 5-17 years) was compared with that of pharmacotherapy and low-intensity laser therapy. The patients were allocated to three groups of 25 persons each. Patients of group 1 were given only drug therapy, those in group 2 were treated with pharmaceuticals and low-intensity laser therapy. The patients comprising group 3 were subjected to the action of magneto-laser radiation. Magneto-laser therapy was shown to result in a significantly more expressed imp

Combining photobiomodulation and naringenin for treatment of asthenozoospermia: A promising therapeutic approach.

Asthenozoospermia (AZS) affects approximately 20% of males. We aimed to determine the effectiveness of different photobiomodulation (PBM) protocols and naringenin (NAR) alone and in combination on sperm motility (SM) in AZS patients in vitro. We studied the different PBM protocols, including 0.6, 1.2, and 2.4 J/cm2, by utilizing the RED (630 nm) and near-infrared (NIR) (810 nm) laser and different NAR concentrations (5, 10, 25, and 50 µmol/L), on sperms of AZS patients. In addition, the best PBM and NAR protocols were studied together. Evaluation methods included progressive sperm motility (PS

[Complementary Therapy: Application of Photobiomodulation in Self-Care and Patient Care].

Photobiomodulation (PBM), also known as low-level laser therapy, is a non-invasive light therapy that applies near-infrared light sources near target tissues. PBM allows photons to penetrate tissues and interact with cells, promoting photophysical and chemical changes that result in desired changes at the molecular, cellular, and tissue levels (Oliveira et al., 2022; Shetty et al., 2023). This complementary therapy has garnered significant research attention both domestically and internationally. The results of recent research indicate non-invasive transcranial light stimulation can enhance hi

Vascular uses of LP1064 applicator on the harmony XL pro device.

INTRODUCTION: Vascular lesions of the lower extremities and face, such as varicose veins and telangiectasias, are a common dilemma for the dermatologist. In recent years, laser therapy has emerged as a viable treatment option for these vascular anomalies. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Although there are several types of lasers, the 1064-nm Nd:YAG in particular is popularly selected for its safety profile and versatility. The longer 1064 nm wavelength penetrates deeper into the skin while also being less absorbed by hemoglobin and melanin, thus resulting in minimized damage to surrounding structures

Combination treatment with photodynamic therapy and laser therapy in chronic hyperplastic candidiasis: A case report.

Chronic hyperplastic candidiasis (CHC) is a rare subtype of oral candidiasis. Due to the malignant transformation potential of this disease, its treatment deserves attention. Here we report a refractory case of an 85-year-old female with chronic hyperplastic candidiasis treated with combined photodynamic therapy and laser therapy with a superior clinical result. The patient had a two-months history of thick white plaque on her upper inner lip. Conventional antifungal therapy and repeated photodynamic therapy contributed slightly improvement to the hyperkeratosis lesion, and then it was removed

Low-level laser therapy to treat fibromyalgia.

Several clinical treatments have been proposed to manage symptoms of fibromyalgia. Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) may be a useful tool to treat this dysfunction. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of LLLT in patients with fibromyalgia. A placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial was carried out with 20 patients divided randomly into either an LLLT group (n = 10) or a placebo group (n = 10). The LLLT group was treated with a GaAlAs laser (670 nm, 4 J/cm(2) on 18 tender points) three times a week over 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, patients were evaluated with the Fibrom

Comparison between pulsed ultrasound and low level laser therapy on experimental haemarthrosis.

The use of pulsed ultrasound (PUS) and low level laser therapy (LLLT) in patients with haemophilia has been recommended for supportive treatment of acute and chronic phases of haemarthrosis but its role has not been supported by experimental evidence. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the effect of these modalities on joint swelling, friction and biomechanical parameters of articular cartilage. An experimental rabbit knee haemarthrosis model was used to test the hypothesis that LLLT and PUS favourably impacted on the biotribological and biomechanical properties of cartilage afte

Transcranial Photobiomodulation Promotes Neurological Resilience in Current Collegiate American Football Players Exposed to Repetitive Head Acceleration Events.

Repetitive head acceleration events (RHAE) are common in contact sports and associated with neuroinflammation, axonal injury, and long-term neurological impairments, including increased risk for chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Current strategies for addressing RHAE focus on post-injury care rather than proactive neuroprotection, leaving athletes vulnerable to cumulative neurotrauma. Transcranial photobiomodulation (PBM) has shown promise in reducing neuroinflammation and promoting neuroprotection in traumatic brain injury; however, its potential to mitigate the structural brain changes assoc
