Low-grade B-cell lymphomas of the skin, especially, primary cutaneous follicle center cell lymphoma has several distinctive features when compared with nodal/systemic follicular lymphomas, as they are frequently negative for bcl-2 and CD10, and only fewer than 25% of the cases show a bcl-2 rearrangement. The risk of transformation of a cutaneous low-grade B-cell lymphoma, such as primary cutaneous follicle center cell lymphoma, to primary cutaneous diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (PCDLBCL) has not been clearly delineated in the literature. Transformation of systemic/nodal follicular lymphoma in

Mantle cell lymphomas (MCLs) are the prototypic B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas defined by cyclin D1 gene (CCND1; or other cyclin D family gene) rearrangements. However, extremely rare cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCLs) harboring CCND1 rearrangements, resulting in cyclin D1 protein expression, have also been reported. In this report, we describe an unusual primary large B-cell lymphoma of non-germinal center immunophenotype of the central nervous system (CNS) in an elderly male patient, which was negative for CD5 and SOX11, and exhibited cyclin D1 expression. BACKGROUND: The aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) are characterised by a high proliferation rate. The anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C) and its co-activators Cdc20 and Cdh1 represent an important checkpoint in mitosis. Here, the role of the APC/C and its co-activators is examined in DLBCL and MCL.
METHODS: The expression and prognostic value of Cdc20 and Cdh1 was investigated using GEP data and immunohistochemistry. Moreover, the therapeutic potential of APC/C targeting was evaluated using the small-molecule

Objective:To compare the clinical characteristics of nasal NK/T-cell lymphoma(NKTL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL) to improve the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of nasal lymphomas. Methods:A retrospective analysis of cases of nasal NKTL and DLBCL was conducted. The clinical symptoms, signs, and imaging features of both groups were compared and statistically analyzed. Results: The DLBCL group showed more symptoms like exophthalmos/diplopia and epiphora compared to the NKTL group (both P=0.040). NKTL cases were more likely to be misdiagnosed as sinusitis(P=0.007). In NKTL cases,

Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) are among the most aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Maternal embryonic leucine zipper kinase (MELK) plays a role in cancer cell cycle progression and is associated with poor prognosis in several cancer cell types. In this study, the role of MELK in DLBCL and MCL and the therapeutic potential of MELK targeting is evaluated. MELK is highly expressed in DLBCL and MCL patient samples, correlating with a worse clinical outcome in DLBCL. Targeting MELK, using the small molecule OTSSP167, impaired cell growth and survival an

The transformation of follicular lymphoma (FL) to high-grade histology occurs in up to 70% of patients. The role of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in transformed FL is poorly defined. Twenty-four FL patients with histologically confirmed transformation to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma underwent unpurged autologous HSCT at our institution. Their median age was 56 yr. The median number of prior chemotherapies was 2 (range 1-6). Thirteen patients had residual nodal disease measuring more than 2 cm and four patients had bulky disease at the time of HSCT. Six patients had refractory

We report a rare case of composite angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AILT) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma occurring in a 48-year-old woman with generalized lymphadenopathy and hepatosplenomegaly. The patient initially sought care at a local hospital with a single enlarged left cervical lymph node. Histologic examination of the node was interpreted as an atypical immunoblastic proliferation. She developed generalized lymphadenopathy 10 months later and was referred to our institution for further evaluation. The recent biopsy of the cervical node showed typical features of AILT Flow cytomet

UNLABELLED: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), the most common aggressive lymphoma, encompasses histologically similar but genetically distinct cancers. Recent genetic studies have defined at least six molecular subtypes, yet none account for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), despite 5-15% of DLBCLs being EBV-associated. By reanalyzing published whole-exome and RNA-sequencing data from 481 tumors, we identified 19 EBV-positive cases. These were significantly enriched in the BN2 subtype (6/19), while most (11/19) remained unclassified. In BN2 tumors, several subtype-defining mutations were reduced

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a common, aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma with significant molecular heterogeneity. This variability arises in part from its distinct molecular subtypes, including germinal center B-cell-like (GCB) DLBCL, activated B-cell-like (ABC) DLBCL, and primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma (PMBL), which differ markedly in their genetic profiles, signaling pathway activities, and clinical outcomes. Although rituximab-based R-CHOP regimens have significantly improved patient outcomes, around 40% of patients still experience relapsed or refractory disease. DLBCL cell

The patient was a 68-year-old man who presented with a progressively enlarging mass in the left breast. Breast ultrasonography revealed an irregular hypoechoic mass in region E of the left breast. A core needle biopsy (CNB) revealed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) showed no abnormal uptake in organs outside the breast, and bone marrow examination revealed no involvement. The patient was diagnosed with primary DLBCL in the breast. Surgical resection was chosen for both a definitive diagnosis and because the patient experienced pai

Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Despite advances in immunochemotherapy, approximately 30-40% of patients experience relapsed or refractory disease. Nutritional and inflammatory status, reflected by composite indices, may independently influence clinical outcomes. However, the prognostic value of the Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI), Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI), and Hemoglobin-Albumin-Lymphocyte-Platelet (HALP) score has not been well established in DLBCL patients treated with rituximab-based regimens. Methods:

BACKGROUND: Primary cardiac lymphoma (PCL) is an exceptionally rare cardiac malignancy with heterogeneous presentations and variable multimodality imaging features.
CASE SUMMARY: A 60-year-old man presented with heart failure and complete atrioventricular block. Echocardiography revealed a massive infiltrative right atrial mass with pericardial effusion. The mass demonstrated malignant features on cross-sectional imaging. As biopsy was considered high risk and a definitive pathologic diagnosis was lacking, radiotherapy was initiated in the setting of a structural oncologic emergency to mainta

The craniofacial region represents a distinct yet poorly understood pattern of extranodal involvement in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). However, the prognostic significance and molecular characteristics of craniofacial involvement in extranodal DLBCL (EN-DLBCL) remain unclear. This study included 164 patients with EN-DLBCL, comprising 98 with craniofacial involvement (CFI) and 66 without. Prognostic factors and survival, as well as relapse and other clinical factors, were analyzed. Targeted next-generation sequencing was performed in 87 cases. Patients with CFI had significantly inferi

Ureaplasma spp. are typically benign colonizers of the urogenital tract but may cause invasive disease in immunocompromised patients. In rare cases, such infections may mimic malignancy and lead to significant diagnostic delay. Diagnosis is challenging due to non-specific clinical manifestations, poor visibility on Gram stain, and limitations of standard culture methods. We report a rare case of invasive Ureaplasma urealyticum infection in a patient in complete remission after rituximab-based chemoimmunotherapy for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma transformed from follicular lymphoma. The infecti

Lymphomas involving the female genital tract are uncommon, and vaginal involvement is particularly rare. In addition, the involvement of a pre-existing uterine leiomyoma by lymphoma appears unusual. Herein, we report the case of a woman in her sixties who presented with abnormal genital bleeding. Pelvic magnetic resonance imaging revealed a newly developed submucosal mass in the posterior vaginal wall and a previously known posterior uterine wall leiomyoma containing a newly emerged area of marked restricted diffusion. Both lesions showed relatively homogeneous internal signal characteristics

Primary adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease) is a potentially life-threatening disorder most commonly caused by autoimmune adrenalitis, though rare etiologies such as infiltrative malignancies must be considered, particularly when bilateral adrenal involvement leads to clinical manifestations. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), an aggressive subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, may rarely involve the adrenal glands and precipitate adrenal crisis. We report a 58-year-old male patient who presented with giddiness, vomiting, fatigability, hyperpigmentation, weight loss, and hypotension. Labo
