OBJECTIVES: To study the histopathologic and optical coherence tomography changes after Descemet's Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty in rabbits.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Descemet's Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty was performed in 14 rabbit eyes and descemetorhexis was performed in 10 rabbits, as control. Histopathologic examination and anterior-segment optical coherence tomography were conducted in the Descemet's Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty group at 1, 2, 4, and 8 weeks. We report a rare case of posterior microphthalmos with prominent papillomacular folds, pseudo disc edema and high hyperopia in a 12 year old child with no systemic anomalies. The patient was diagnosed as high hyperopia two years ago but the posterior findings were missed. A case of severe blepharoconjunctivitis in the last three weeks diagnosed the slit lamp as external ophthalmomyiasis. On ocular examination, numerous pupae were present on the lid margins, firmly adhering to the lid lashes bilaterally. All of them were removed mechanically under topical anesthesia. A 29-year-old preeclamptic postpartum patient with no symptoms of hypertension in her medical history before pregnancy was referred to the ophthalmology outpatient clinic with the complaint of sudden bilateral vision loss. PURPOSE: To report a case with Exophiala spp. keratitis in a Portuguese patient.
METHODS: A case report with deep corneal brown-pigmented infiltrates that developed 2 months after a Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK) for pseudophakic bullous keratopathy.
RESULTS: Diagnosis was established by positive direct examination and cultures from the surgically obtained corneal button. Slit-lamp images and anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) scans were obtained.

Marfan syndrome (MFS) is associated with abnormal fibrillin development that can cause morbidity and mortality. A case of acute onset hypotony due to sclerotomy wound dehiscence 13 years after 20-gauge pars plana vitrectomy and lensectomy is reported in a patient with MFS. A 25-year femalepresented at the eye OPD with the complaint of some white thing in her right eye. She had visual acuity of 6/18 in the right eye and 6/6 in the left one. Slit lamp examination showed she had a live larva actively moving in the anterior chamber of the right eye. The patient was started on oral steroid, topical moxifloxacin with steroid, cyclopentolate and planned for surgery. Exploration of lerva was done by visco-expressive method. Histopathology showed if to be a cysticercus lerva. Her visual acurity was 6/6 in the affected eye after one month.

Galactosemia is a treatable metabolic disorder caused by the deficiency of enzyme galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase (GALT) and inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. Slit-lamp examinations were conducted in 17 patients with X-linked inchtyosis, 11 female carriers, and 9 patients with ichthyosis vulgaris. All patients with ichthyosis were under 21 years of age. The eyes of 7 rabbits with clinical megaloglobus, selected from a large colony, were studied with slit-lamp microscopy, gonioscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy and tonometry. We present a series of three patients with previously undetected corneal pathology in grafted corneal tissue following keratoplasty for keratoconus.
