A 61y/o woman who presented with a dark, bleeding mass at the urethral meatus, accompanied by dysuria and significant weight loss. Initial diagnosis by a GP suggested a urethral caruncle. Imaging revealed a urethral mass, which was surgically excised. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of malignant melanoma. Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is commonly related to sexual intercourse in postpubescent females. Inflammation of the fallopian tubes (pyosalpinx) is a common complication. We describe a case of anatomic spinning top-shaped urethra that led lead to complicated recurrent severe abdominal infections in an 11-year-old precoital female. This case highlights that prepubescent females can have pyosalpinx and pelvic inflammatory disease and anatomic contributions to these presentations should be considered.

We report a case of leukocytoclastic vasculitis-induced penile necrosis in a 69-year-old male with no previous urologic history. After suffering an ischemic event to the distal shaft of the penis as well as an ischemic event involving the right side of the bladder, he underwent suprapubic tube placement for urinary diversion. Fibroepithelial polyps (FP) of the ureter are rare and benign mesodermal tumors frequently mistaken for transitional cell carcinoma. We hereby report a rare case of a 19-year-old patient with two FPs, originating from the distal left ureter that were successfully treated with ureteroscopy. One of these polyps was completely protruding outside the bladder through the urethra, which makes this case unique in the literature. Ureteroscopy is currently the best method available for identification, histologic diagnosis and treatment of these polyps.
