In the period 1986-1990 a total of 69 patients with advanced prostate cancer and urinary retention underwent orchiectomy followed by removal of the indwelling catheter during the 3 month/postoperative period. The mean follow-up time was 32 months. Regarding urination after catheter removal the success-rate was 62% (43/69) and 84% of these patients were satisfied with the procedure. Ureterocele is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by the dilation of the distal ureter and its protrusion into the bladder, often related with duplex collecting renal system, leading to urinary obstruction. While it commonly occurs in females, this case report presents the rare presentation of a massive ureterocele in a 2-day-old male neonate, causing urinary retention. Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is an inflammatory disease that causes recurrent neuritis and myelitis. Ravulizumab, a complement protein C5 inhibitor, was developed to treat NMOSD. Vaginal cysts can occur due to embryonic remnants, misplaced tissue, or an abnormality in the urinary system. They are a common occurrence and usually indicate non-cancerous conditions. A case is presented here of a 35-year-old female para three living three who reported to the emergency room with complaints of acute retention of urine with something coming out of her vagina over the last two years. She was managed operatively by vaginal cystectomy, which led to the resolution of the symptoms.

Bladder herniation in the inguinal canal is a rare occurrence, reported for the first time in 1951 as Scrotal Cystocele. Most cases are incidental intraoperative findings, with no particular manifestation. Few reports of symptomatic patients have been documented in literature. We report a case of a patient who presented with urinary obstruction and left sided scrotal hernia. MRI was performed and revealed a complete bladder herniation in the scrotal sac.

Large uterine or cervical leiomyomas may cause acute urinary retention due to bladder outlet obstruction. We report two cases with acute urinary retention caused by cervical leiomyoma. Myomectomies were performed due to their desire of fertility and frozen-section examinations were reported as benign leiomyomas in both cases. The urinary symptoms completely resolved in two patients following myomectomies. In patients who are admitted with the complaint of acute urinary retention, cervical leiomyomas should be considered in differential diagnosis.
