The authors report a case of acquired lymphangioma circumscriptum (LC), localised in the right labium majus of vulva and characterised by periodic symptoms for 8 years; however, 3 months after the right major labiectomy, the same symptoms developed in both the left labium majus and the right labium minus. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of acquired LC with this type of localisation and symptoms without any known aetiologic factor.

BACKGROUND: Ectopic breast (extramammary) fibroadenomas of the vulva are rare, cosmetically disfiguring, and very difficult to distinguish from other labial masses on physical examination. Extramammary tissue is susceptible to similar benign and malignant changes seen in the breast. Some patients with ectopic breast lesions may harbor an underlying urinary tract anomaly.
CASE: We report a case of a young woman who presented with an unknown progressively enlarging mass in the vulva. The mass was excised completely in a cosmetic manner and histology demonstrated an ectopic breast fibroadenoma.

BACKGROUND: Aggressive angiomyxoma (AA) is a rare vulvovaginal mesenchymal neoplasm with a marked tendency to local recurrence but which usually does not metastasize.

Syringoma is a benign neoplasm of eccrine origin. Lesions often arise around the eyes and on the upper cheeks of middle-aged women. Syringomas involving the genitalia are rare, they present as multiple, bilateral, skin-colored papules over the labia majora. The lesions should therefore be considered in the differential diagnosis of multiple papular lesions of the vulva. We report two females of 37 and 62 years of age, both observed in a dermatological service.

Leiomyosarcoma of the vulva is a rare gynaecological malignancy. To date, only few cases have been reported in the literature, the majority of which are from Western countries. Although leiomyosarcoma is classically regarded as a malignant tumor, the generally favorable prognosis following surgical treatment, as well as its reduced propensity for widespread metastasis, makes it one of the most enigmatic malignancies in the medical literature. In addition, the tumor may attain enormous morphological proportions, a situation unusual in many malignant tumors.

Primary adenocarcinoma of the vulva is rare, and cloagocenic adenocarcinoma of the vulva is extremely rare. Here we report a vulvar tumor characterized by columnar cells with prominent brush border and the presence of goblet cells and endocrine cells, presenting the tubulovillous pattern and mucin histochemistry of enteric adenocarcinoma. Electron microscopy verified a colon-like pattern. We suggest that cloacogenic carcinoma of the vulva arises from embryonic tissue, normally present in the vulvar introital area. In our case, a wide local excision was sufficient for radical cure.

We report an unusual case of ambiguous genitalia owing to neurofibroma of the clitoris resulting in an enlarged pseudo-phallus. There were multiple café au lait spots on both buttocks, chest and abdomen. The abnormality was corrected by excision and reduction clitoroplasty. A complete review of the literature is presented.

It was postulated that deficiencies in the technique of smear preparation are responsible for the fact that vulvar cytology lacks the frequent usage it deserves. Vulvar squamous and basal cell carcinoma, Paget's disease, intraepithelial neoplasia and podophyllin-resistant warts were sampled with vulvar cytology.
