Potential determinants of bone mass were investigated in a group of 70 young females (mean age 26.6 years), daughters of women studied in premenopause. Nutritional data, leisure physical activity level, lifestyle habits as well as familial similarities were assessed. The relationship between the palatal dimensions and inherited factors such as body height and arachnodactyly, i.e., spider fingers, were studied in a sample of 87 patients with high and narrow palatal vaults, chosen from 1008 randomly selected patients at an orthodontic clinic. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relation between Type A behavior and adipose tissue linoleic acid composition.
METHODS: The sample consisted of 73 male and female Cretan adults, 23-64 years of age. Anthropometric and arterial blood pressure measurements were taken.
