Sex dimorphic patterns of exploratory behavior in the open-field, passive defensive behavior and emotionality were studied in anosmic rats. It was show that the long-time anosmia increased the level of exploratory and locomotor activities in male rats and changed their behavior in stress situations from passive to active form. Anosmia didn't change characteristics of these forms of behavior in female rats.

Eighteen chronic post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD+) combat veterans were administered nalmefene, a non-FDA approved oral opiate antagonist, based on the hypothesis that emotional numbing is an opiate-mediated phenomenon. This study examined the correspondence among child, parent and teacher reports, in rating emotional and behavioral problems of 98 community nonpatients and 64 clinically referred children (ages 6-13). This article examines the concurrent validity of the Five-Minute Speech Sample (FMSS) as an index of Expressed Emotion in a Dutch sample of 84 parents of adolescents suffering from anorexia or bulimia nervosa. This paper reviews the empirical literature on the relation between asthma, suggestion, and emotion, and proposes the hypothesis that these effects are mediated parasympathetically. The literature indicates that, among asthmatics, suggestion can produce both bronchoconstriction and bronchodilation, and that stress can produce bronchoconstriction. Seventy-five patients with an early RA (disease duration between 2 and 12 months; 79% female; average age 49 years; 72% with "definite" RA) were followed in a prospective study over a period of 2 years. The current study aims to clarify the longitudinal relations among parent emotion regulation (ER), child ER, and children's oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) symptoms.
