BACKGROUND: Spontaneous regression of Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) has been reported in skin, bone, and pulmonary lesions. However, such phenomena in the central nervous system (CNS) have not been described previously.

BACKGROUND: Multiple surgical procedures are often a source of discomfort, pain, and disfigurement for patients with the nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome (NBCCS).

BACKGROUND: Gamma knife radiosurgery (GKR) is a safe and effective alternative to surgery for intracranial lesions. Most studies evaluating toxicity after GKR have concentrated on the delayed radiation effects.

The clinical features and long-term outcome of seven patients with delayed cerebral radiation necrosis (DCRN) are described. Radiotherapy had been given for pituitary tumour (1), astrocytoma (2), pinealoma (2), craniopharyngioma (1) and parotid carcinoma (1).
