Hypospadias results from abnormal development of the penis that leaves the urethral meatus proximal to its normal glanular position. Meatal position may be located anywhere along the penile shaft, but more severe forms of hypospadias may have a urethral meatus located at the scrotum or perineum. The spectrum of abnormalities may also include ventral curvature of the penis, a dorsally redundant prepuce, and atrophic corpus spongiosum. The surgical management of a giant condyloma of Buschke and Löwenstein poses particular reconstructive challenges, given the wound size, depth, and infection risk. Glomus tumours of the nail bed are an excruciatingly painful condition. The treatment of choice for these is surgical excision. However, since most cases are treated by surgeons, the usual method of treatment is total nail avulsion and excision. We have treated two patients of this rare presentation with a nail plate-conserving surgical method called the 'trap door' technique with excellent results. Palmar plate fixation is becoming a well recognized treatment for distal radial fracture. Tendon ruptures or irritations have been reported after this procedure. Inadvertent retention of angled drill guides useful for easy placement of locking screws in proper direction in volar plating can represent a high risk of secondary tendon rupture. In this case, we presented our experience in one patient in whom drill guides removal could be delayed for one year and summarized our techniques to prevent the aforementioned complications.

BACKGROUND: Transanal anorectoplasty was developed through the 1980s by the senior author (AB) as an alternative approach to posterior sagittal anorectoplasty for the management of imperforate anus. This study evaluates this surgical approach and its longer-term results.

BACKGROUND: This article discusses the application of computer-aided design and rapid prototyping techniques in prosthetic chin augmentation for mild microgenia.
