AIM: The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety and feasibility of autologous adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRC) in the treatment of chronic anal fissure.
METHOD: A prospective pilot study was conducted in six patients with chronic anal fissures at the First Surgical Clinic, Clinical Center of Serbia and at the BelPrime Clinic, Belgrade, Serbia. Percutaneous glycerol injection into Meckel's cavity is widely used to treat trigeminal neuralgia. Reports published to date summarized clinical experiences in small or intermediately sized groups of patients. We present our experience of the treatment of bone tumors with radiofrequency thermal ablation (RFTA). Over the past 4 years, we have treated 26 cases (22 benign and 4 malignant) using CT-guided RFTA. RFTA was the sole treatment in 19 cases and was combined with percutaneous cementation during the same session in the remaining seven cases. The purpose of the present study was to determine the value of circular hemorrhoidectomy (procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids [PPH]) on the basis of data collected prospectively during the initial experience of a group of Latin American surgeons.
