This investigation aimed to determine the effect of Candida albicans on hyperplastic epithelium. Epithelial hyperplasia was induced in hamster cheek pouches by painting the mucosa with 50% (v/v) turpentine and liquid paraffin (TLP50) for 10 weeks.
