We studied the value of routine neonatal electrocardiography (ECG) in the 1st 48 hours of life to diagnose congenital heart disease in 37 neonates with Down syndrome. Twenty-four infants had no clinical evidence of congenital heart disease, had normal ECGs and normal cardiac anatomy on echocardiography. Thirteen children (35.2%) had congenital heart disease. This study was performed to assess the predictive value of EEG in HIE following acute fetal distress. Topical application and intraperitoneal administration of spiroarsoranes were carried out to cure central nervous system (CNS) trypanosomiasis in the chronic Trypanosoma brucei GVR 35 mouse model. BACKGROUND: Meningitis and encephalitis are life-threatening neurological emergencies requiring prompt diagnosis and treatment. Traditional diagnostic methods often lack the speed and sensitivity needed for rapid clinical decision-making. This study evaluates the effectiveness of rapid multiplex PCR testing in diagnosing meningitis and encephalitis.
