With evidence suggesting that females are more likely to be victims of child sexual abuse (CSA), much of the literature - including that on disclosure - focuses on females. Thus, male victims remain "under-studied". Given this, the aim here is to contribute to the scant knowledge base on the sexual abuse of males and disclosure by focusing on males whose voices are even more rarely heard than those in the general male population: those who have perpetrated CSA. OBJECTIVE: Despite calls for increased peer support services for individuals involved with the criminal justice system, little is known about the training, employment, and characteristics of forensic peer specialists (FPSs). Pennsylvania developed the nation's first FPS program and remains at the forefront of the field. Sex differences in child abuse and neglect (CAN) have long interested researchers due to their adverse impact. Cognitive appraisal of CAN may also affect the negative consequences. PURPOSE: Threats and violence at work are common problems in the human service sector. It can result in physical and psychological health symptoms. The aim of this study was to examine the association between exposure to threats and violence and workforce participation in four human service sectors.
METHODS: 5170 employees answered questionnaires about threats and violence in 2010 and were followed in a register for public transfer incomes for 3.5 years to identify episodes of sick leave, general workforce participation, and permanent health-related benefits.

Jail inmates represent a high-risk, multineed population. Why do some jail inmates not access available programs and services? Drawn from a longitudinal study, 261 adults were assessed shortly upon incarceration and reassessed prior to transfer or release from a county jail.
