INTRODUCTION: The gracilis flap is commonly used for the reconstruction of the genitalia and scrotum, but the procedure has problems owing to a pedicle away from the pubic tubercle and a bulky nature. A new use of this flap without including its pedicle has been described as the "short gracilis flap" and has been used for vulvovaginal, perineal, and inguinal reconstruction with considerable results. However, scrotal use has not yet been mentioned.

INTRODUCTION: Palliative treatment for nondisseminated unresectable peripheral cholangiocarcinoma (PCC) carries a 0% 5-year survival rate. The role of orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) in these patients is controversial because the survival rate is lower than with other indications for transplantation and the lack of available donor organs. The aim of this paper was to review the Spanish experience in OLT for PCC to identify prognostic factors for survival.

Resection remains the treatment of choice in liver cancer. In order to avoid liver transplantation in conventionally unresectable tumors ex-situ ("bench" procedure), in-situ and ante-situm resection technique should be preferred whenever feasible.
