Dentigerous cyst is one of the most prevalent types of odontogenic cyst and is associated with crown of an unerupted or developing tooth. Dentigerous cyst is more commonly seen with mandibular third molar and maxillary canine and rarely other teeth are involved. Here we report a case of dentigerous cyst involving permanent maxillary central incisor.

This case report describes a case of intrusion of the right mature permanent central incisor. After gingivectomy and endodontic treatment with changes of the intracanal dressing (calcium hydroxide paste) every 30 days, spontaneous re-eruption was observed. We conclude that waiting for spontaneous re-eruption associated with gingivectomy and endodontic treatment is an alternative treatment for severe intrusive luxations in mature permanent teeth.

Traumas to deciduous teeth may have severe consequences. This article addresses a dentigerous cyst case report associated with an upper permanent incisor, unusual site of occurrence, which was impacted and dislodged from its natural site of eruption after trauma at the deciduous predecessor. The main aspects of etiopathology and its clinical characteristics are also discussed, with special focus on the radiographic features of the diagnosis in order to allow for an accurate surgical planning.

Transposition is an uncommon dental anomaly involving positional interchange of two teeth. The maxillary canine is the tooth more frequently transposed in man. A case of unilateral ectopic eruption of maxillary first permanent molar with congenital absence of second premolar on the affected side is presented. The treatment of choice in this case, was extraction of the second deciduous molar to permit full eruption of the affected molar. A review of the prevalence, clinical and the radiographic presentation as well as different treatment modalities for this condition is provided.
