This paper presents the results of the effect of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) at two different temperatures and the effect of a mixture of detergents (D) on Coxiella burnetii. Both TCA and D caused a large destruction of C. burnetii cells. In both cases complexes of high-molar-mass components from the outer membrane were extracted. In the D case not only proteins but a mixture with other high-molar-mass structures were released from the destroyed cells. A colorimetric method was developed for the quantitative estimation of 11 phenothiazine drugs. The method is based on the interaction of unsulfoxidized drug with morpholine and iodine-potassium iodide reagents. The interaction for all studied phenothiazine drugs yields a blue product with 2 absorption maxima: one in the range of 620-640 nm with lower molar absorptivity and the other in the range of 662-690 nm with higher molar absorptivity. A review of 24 patients with a molar placenta and coexisting live fetus, including 2 new cases from the Queensland Trophoblastic Disease Registry, was made. This article describes a successful direct pulp capping of a mature symptomatic mandibular second molar in a 14-year-old girl. The patient was referred with sensitivity to cold beverages and pain on chewing on the second left mandibular molar. This study investigated changes in ridge width over time in patients who were congenitally missing mandibular second premolars. Data were obtained from stone casts and radiographs of 35 edentulous sites on 22 patients representing three time periods: (1) before extraction of the primary mandibular second molar, (2) completion of orthodontic treatment, and (3) long-term evaluation.
