A 33-year-old male patient presented with a 1.5-cm polypoid lesion at the edge of the urethral meatus that showed a gross appearance similar to that of a urethral caruncle in the female. The histological features revealed a superficially ulcerated lesion composed of colonic-type mucosal glands with focal regenerative atypia. This case appears to be the first reported one on an intestinal-type polyp in this site. The patient had no further problems after excisional biopsy.

AIMS: Reflex contractions of the external urethral sphincter (EUS) are a major component of voiding dysfunction after neurological injury or disease. Aberrant urethral reflexes can prevent voiding and cause serious medical complications. OBJECTIVE: To explore the feasibility of urethroplasty with transection of the urethral orifice and preservation and lengthening of the urethral plate in the treatment of hypospadias.

Most urinary tract calculi are formed in the upper urinary tract while urethral calculi are uncommon. In young men, lower urinary tract symptoms are often due to infections and are treated with antibiotics, but unusual causes may be overlooked. We present a case of an impacted urethral calculus in an otherwise healthy young male who presented with several months of lower urinary tract symptoms.

A 30-year-old female was admitted in emergency with acute urinary retention due to bladder tumour prolapsed from the external urethral orifice. The patient underwent immediate endoscopic surgery via suprapubic percutaneous approach. The histological examination confirmed a superficial highly differentiated transitional cell bladder carcinoma. During the 6-year follow-up no evidence of local recurrence or metastatic tumour spread was revealed. OBJECTIVE: To Explore the effect of oblique preputial island flap for the treating of hypospadias.
METHODS: Fifty-one patients were performed one-stage urethroplasty with oblique preputial island flap to repair hypospadias.
RESULTS: All cases resulted in a good contour of the penis without any redundancy and a normal anatomic position of slit-shaped urethral meatus. The urination was perfect. Six patients occurred complications (3 cases of urinary fistula, 3 cases of meatal stenosis).
