Sleep deprivation and sleep disturbance are pervasive among military personnel during and after combat deployment. However, occupational and other constraints often influence military workers to decline behavioral health services and prescription pharmaceutical sleep aids. In this study, the authors examined the marital adjustment, spousal aggression, and sexual satisfaction of prisoners of war (POWs) 3 decades after their release. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this review article is to provide information on the mental health treatment needs of service members (SMs) engaged in traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation.
