[The history of leprosy and its countermeasures in Norway].

The breakout of leprosy in the history of Norway was influenced by two factors at least. It was partly because Norway was ruled by neighbouring countries for a long time so was underdeveloped, and partly it was a country with temperate marine climate. Leprosy came from Western Europe to Norway during the Viking Age (790-1066 CE) and peaked in the 13th century when Norway was christianised and fully integrated with Europe with its participation in the crusades. At that time, the Christian Church cared for leprosy patients through its affiliated leprosariums. Leprosy nearly disappeared in Norway

[Wu Lien-Teh and reports of the Second Plague in the Northeast in YuanDong Bao and Bingjiang ShiBao].

It was reported in YuanDong Bao and Bingjiang ShiBao that the second plague in the Northeast area in China (1920-1921) killed 9,300 people, a significant decrease compared with 60,000 deaths in the first epidemic in 1910. It was Wu Lien-Teh that took a series of scientific epidemic prevention measures in the second plague, which effectively blocked the spread of the epidemic to other cities based on YuanDong Bao and Bingjiang ShiBao reports. The epidemic prevention thoughts and methods of Wu Lien-Teh are important references for dealing with wide-spread public health emergencies in the future.

[Examining Xue Gao (Ice-cream) in One Hundred Questions for Pediatrics].

The pills for infantile indigestion (Xiao Ru Wan) in One Hundred Questions for Pediatrics (Ying Tong Bai Wen) is one of the commonly used classic formulas in pediatrics for infantile indigestion. It was described "like ice-cream (Xue Gao) as small as a millet after it was soaked to feed infants". Xue Gao (Ice-cream) here was unclear in terms of meaning and usage. Based on the literature and archives, Xue Gao (Ice-cream) was a common cake made of steamed glutinous rice powder and rice flour in the Song Dynasty. It looked like snow in light weight. It was often processed as drugs in traditional

[The characters "" and "" in Annotated Treatise on Febrile Diseases].

Annotated Treatise on Febrile Diseases by Cheng Wuji is believed to be the earliest and fully annotated Treatise on Febrile Diseases remaining in China. It has had a profound influence because it was once a popular version of Treatise on Febrile Diseases. It was found that in this book "once constipation lasted for six or seven days, there might be dry excrement. In this case, Xiao Chengqi decoction should be taken (was used here in Chinese) for this condition". However, "" seems not to be used appropriately in this context. Therefore, archival research was used to analyse the meaning of "" an
