Prenatal diagnosis of congenital lung anomalies has increased in recent years as imaging methods have benefitted from technical improvements. The purpose of this pictorial essay is to illustrate typical imaging findings of a wide spectrum of congenital lung anomalies on prenatal US and MRI. Moreover, we propose an algorithm based on imaging findings to facilitate the differential diagnosis, and suggest a follow-up algorithm during pregnancy and in the immediate postnatal period.

PURPOSE: To report the additional clinical value of real-time Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the detection of Treponema pallidum in aqueous humor.
METHODS: A real-time (RT) PCR assay targeting the polymerase 1 gene of Treponema pallidum was performed in aqueous humor samples collected in consecutive patients with ocular syphilis.
RESULTS: Five patients presenting with optic neuritis (1), posterior placoid chorioretinitis (1), or panuveitis with retinitis (3) were tested. The PCR results were positive in the 3 cases of panuveitis and negative in the 2 other cases.

This paper proposes an automated target recognition algorithm using Support Vector Machine (SVM) to extract landmark points for craniofacial features in cephalometry radiograph. Neuroepithelial cysts, heterogeneous group of lesions, are fluid collections similar to CSF, lined by epithelial cells, frequently found in the lateral ventricles and choroidal fissure; intraparenchymal cysts are relatively uncommon. We report CT and MRI imaging findings of four intraparenchymal neuroepithelial cysts, two of which have histological confirmation of the diagnosis.

We report a case of anomaly of the intrahepatic portal system in a 65-year-old man with hilar bile duct cancer. We herein report a 60-year-old man demonstrating multiple system atrophy of the cerebellar type (MSA-C) with a five-year of clinical history, who developed severe constipation followed by watery diarrhea.
