Most cases of Rett syndrome are associated with mutations in the coding region of MECP2. The feasibility of using the monoclonal antibody Ki-67 as a proliferation marker in human prostatic carcinoma was studied on aspiration and core biopsy specimens obtained from 50 patients suspected of having prostate cancer. We used a metabolically active culture of Shigella flexneri 2a to determine the effect of Congo red on its membrane protein profiles.
