A case of an early cervical pregnancy diagnosed by transvaginal Doppler ultrasonography and successfully treated by systemic and local injection of methotrexate to avoid complications of the surgical procedures in use and to preserve future fertility is presented. This procedure may become a useful alternative to more radical or complex surgical approaches.

We describe two cases which demonstrate methotrexate (mtx) to be an effective alternative to surgery in two serious complications of early pregnancy, namely placenta accreta diagnosed at attempted evacuation of retained products of conception and interstitial cornual pregnancy diagnosed at laparoscopy.

We report an unusual case of invasive mole metastasized to the urinary bladder. The patient presented with hematuria one month after evacuation of a molar pregnancy. The serum chorionic gonadotropin levels regressed spontaneously following transurethral cystoscopic resection of the tumour. Metastasis of an invasive mole to the urinary bladder has not been previously reported.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the normal beta-human chorionic gonadotropin change within 24 hours after a medical abortion. Because a medical abortion creates a "miscarriage," these data can represent the serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin changes that would occur with a complete spontaneous abortion.
