A Conservative Technique for Repairing Class IV Composite Restorations.

Composite resin may make a restoration noticeable as time passes, on account of its color instability. The repair technique is a minimally invasive treatment for class IV composite resin restorations that show unsatisfactory coloration. Thus, the objective of the present article was to report a clinical case involving a conservative technique used for repairing a class IV composite resin restoration in the left maxillary central incisor and the replacement of a class IV restoration in the right maxillary central incisor.

[Current status and further prospects of dental resin-based materials with antibacterial properties].

The mode of dental antibacterial resin-based materials can be divided into two types, namely, single and combined antibacterial mode. With regard to single antibacterial mode, only one kind of antibacterial agent is added into the resin, which can be released or act as contacting antibacterial agent. The single mode resin has limitation in sterilization methods and effect. As for combined antibacterial mode, it is a combination of different types of biocides and thus maximizes the sterilizing effect, including the releasing antibacterial agent incorporated with the contacting antibacterial age

Are we reaching the maximum cure rate for Hodgkin lymphoma?

The treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma, using cytotoxic chemotherapy and selective radiotherapy, has resulted in progressively increasing cure rates over the last 40 years. Recent studies have been directed at using response-adapted approaches to modulate treatment according to the responses seen using functional imaging, with the aim of balancing the probability of cure against the toxicity of more extensive treatments, in particular the risks of infertility, second malignancy and cardiovascular disease. The results of these studies suggest that we have reached the limits of what might be expected

Structure-Property Relationships in Urea-Formaldehyde Bonded Napier Grass Composites: Influence of Lignocellulosic Chemistry on Interfacial Interaction and Thermal Stability.

The valorization of lignocellulosic biomass into value-added materials requires a fundamental understanding of structure-property relationships and interfacial interactions within composite systems. In this study, Napier grass (Pennisetum purpureum) was investigated as a renewable biomass feedstock for the fabrication of urea-formaldehyde (UF) bonded composites. Particleboards were prepared at varying resin loadings (11%, 13%, and 15%), and their physical, mechanical, and thermal behavior was systematically evaluated. The results reveal that increasing UF content enhances modulus of rupture (M
