OBJECTIVE/HYPOTHESIS: Through human leukocyte antigen-DR (HLA-DR) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) expression, nasal epithelial cells could actively participate in the chronic inflammation and eosinophil infiltration observed in nasal polyps.
