BACKGROUND: Health care providers may not solicit a comprehensive sexual history from lesbian patients because of provider assumptions that lesbians have not been sexually active with men. We performed this study to assess whether women who identify themselves as lesbians have a history of sexual activities with men that have implications for receipt of preventive health screening.

Untreated syphilis becomes a systemic infection that can involve almost every organ systems. To understand the trends of distribution and risk factors associated with different HIV-1 subtypes in different populations in Taiwan, blood samples and questionnaires were collected from 267 male and 21 female HIV-1-infected people in a multicenter survey from 1993 to 1996. In 2022, Mpox spread throughout the world, and an epidemic through domestic transmission started in South Korea in early 2023.
