BACKGROUND: Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is the most commonly performed bariatric procedure in the USA. Identifying preoperative risk factors for prolonged postoperative hospital stay will help appropriately select patients for fast-track protocols and avoid costly readmissions.
