Two cases of ectopic pregnancy in the uterosacral ligament are presented. The cases are reported not only because of its rarity but also to arouse the thought of primary aetiology. With the increasing incidence of ectopic pregnancy due to assisted reproduction, gynaecologists are posed with the diagnostic challenge. The golden rule of management in extra-tubal pregnancy is to maintain high index of suspicion.

The podiatric physician must determine his or her contribution based on knowledge, experience, and interest. Injuries of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) of the knee are easily diagnosed on clinical grounds. These lesions are generally treated conservatively. Radiological examinations are generally unhelpful. However, injuries of the MCL may be associated with those of many other ligaments of the knee in the case of complex strain of the knee so that the clinical diagnosis may be challenging; in some cases, surgical repair of associated lesions is indicated. The hyoepiglottic ligament (HL) is a connective tissue structure that serves as the roof of both the paraglottic and the preepiglottic spaces and thereby anatomically separates the supraglottic larynx from the tongue base. Whole mount serially sectioned larynges with supraglottic cancer were reviewed to help clarify cephalad spread of cancer in this region. The whole mount slides were analyzed from 70 laryngectomy specimens that were resected for supraglottic cancer. The authors described 21 patients aged 37 to 83 with ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (10 with ischemic myelopathy, 6 with aftermaths of a trauma of the cervical spine, and 5 with the radicular syndrome on the basis of vertebral osteochondrosis. X-ray signs of three types of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament were defined and specified: linear, curved and mixed. The linear type was more frequently observed in the cervical spine whereas the curved type was more frequent in the lumbar spine.

A 53-year-old patient was surgically treated for a tumour the size of a female fist, located on the left of the uterus and appeared to be either a uterine myoma or an ovarian tumour, and also for urine incontinence. Laparotomy revealed a solid tumour on the uterine round ligament, about 2 cm from the uterine horn, and histologically diagnosed as leiomyoma. In the differential diagnosis the authors refer to Kleinwachter's sign having been known for a long time.

We report a large kindred in which individuals presented with fixation of the scapula to the first rib by a congenitally short costocoracoid ligament. Cosmetic deformity with rounding of the shoulder and loss of the anterior clavicular contour was the main concern of the affected individuals. Movements requiring rotation or retraction of the scapula were limited, although this did not interfere with normal activities. Surgical treatment consists of excision of the costocoracoid ligament and resulted in some correction of the cosmetic deformity. The pedigree supports an autosomal dominant mode

Nine children who were less than fourteen years old and had open physes and ligament injuries of the knee were studied.
