Post-partum hemolytic uremic syndrome (PHUS) is a severe thrombotic microangiopathy clinically characterized by hemolytic anemia, renal dysfunction, and low platelets after birth with rapid progression and poor prognosis. Here, we reported a rare case of severe preeclampsia diagnosed as hemolytic uremic syndrome after birth. Chronic subdural hematoma is a rare complication of epidural anesthesia. This report describes the case of a 34-year-old woman who presented with postpartum headache after she received epidural anesthesia for labor pain. OBJECTIVE: To estimate the effect of anal incontinence on postpartum quality of life (QOL).
METHODS: We conducted a longitudinal follow-up study of women reporting anal incontinence on a statewide postpartum survey to estimate the effect of anal incontinence on QOL up to 2 years postpartum. Quality of life was assessed every 6 months for 2 years based on the Uebersax incontinence impact questionnaire. The effect of severe anal incontinence on QOL was determined by multivariate logistic regression.

A 25-year-old woman delivered her first-born child weighing 3400 g by full-term normal delivery. Bloody stool developed 3 days after delivery. The coeliac disease is a T cell mediated autoimmune enteropathy, presents in genetically susceptible person exposed to gluten. In patients with post partum endometritis once daily intramuscular administration of gentamicin may be convenient in certain clinical settings. However pharmacokinetic data on once daily intramuscular gentamicin are not reported. In this study 10 women with post partum endometritis were given once daily intravenous gentamicin (4 mg/kg ideal body weight) followed at a later day by a similar intramuscular dose. Gentamicin levels coincided at 30 min. Levels at 60 and 90 min were lower with the intravenous route. Further clinical studies are needed to confirm reduced nephrotoxicity and ototxicity
