Anorectal melanoma is a rare disease (1% of all anorectal malignancies). It is characterised by aspecific symptoms and the differential diagnosis versus other lesions of the rectum and anus is often difficult. The prognosis is very poor: mean survival is about 24 months, and at diagnosis most patients present distant metastases. Surgery is suggested as being the best treatment for this disease, since radio- and chemotherapy are generally only used for palliative purposes. The author reviewed pathologic features of 37 cases of malignant lymphoma in the gastrointestinal organs in the last 10 years in our pathology laboratory. The current WHO classification was adopted. The 37 cases consisted of 20 males and 17 female, and the age ranged from 46 to 89 years with a median of 69 years. Of the 37 cases, 25 cases (68%) were gastric lymphomas, 6 cases (16%) were small intestinal lymphomas, and 6 cases (16%) were colon lymphomas. Anorectal malignant melanoma (AMM) is a rare and aggressive neoplasm. Here, we report a case of AMM that was treated with robotic-assisted abdominoperineal resection (APR) after immunotherapy. Postoperative fistulas are among the most difficult and distressing of surgical problems. We describe a case of a discharging fistula that developed after low anterior resection and was successfully treated with a new biologic adhesive agent, gelatin-resorcin-formal glue. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of a postoperative fistula after colorectal surgery successfully treated with gelatin-resorcin-formal glue. In conclusion, gelatin-resorcin-formal glue is useful for uncontrollable postoperative fistula.

Nevertheless they are uncommon. CASE REPORT. 1) A 68-year-old man presented as an emergency with abdominal pain associated with bowel obstruction. He had a 2 to 3 month history of intermittent right-sided abdominal pain, constipation spontaneously resolved. At laparotomy there was a mass of the transverse colon, next hepatic flexure. A right hemicolectomy was performed. The patient made an uneventful recovery.
